Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a liquid crystal display element of high quality by degassing liquid crystal cells and removing air bubbles from liquid crystal independently. CONSTITUTION:A main chamber 19 which contains the liquid crystal cells under pressure reduced to a constant vacuum degree and injects liquid crystal in those pressure-reduced liquid crystal cells and a subchamber 20 which contains the liquid crystal under pressure reduced to a constant vacuum degree are provided, and further a shutter opening/closing part 21 which partitions the main chamber 19 and subchamber 20 and a conveyance part 22 which moves a container containing the liquid crystal freely between the main chamber 19 and subchamber 20 are provided. Therefore, the liquid crystal cells and liquid crystal are put in the different containers and degassing and air bubble removal are performed at the best vacuum degree for the best degassing time. Consequently, no air bubble is left in the liquid crystal cells after the liquid crystal is injected, and the liquid crystal display element of high quality with high reliability is obtained.
