Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve yield by preventing a liquid-crystal injection opening from being blocked with a drop of liquid crystal by preventing drops of liquid crystal from falling from a liquid-crystal permeated body on the liquid-crystal injection opening during vacuum suction by a receiving dish and also by engaging the liquid-crystal permeated body in the liquid-crystal injection opening by a parallel link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-crystal permeated body 11 is equipped lengthwise under a liquid-crystal introducing pipe 5, and a receiving dish 6 is provided under it. The parallel link mechanism consisting of a liquid-crystal sink 1, a mount plate 2, a link 13, a pin 14, and a reference plate 15 brings about the 1st state wherein the liquid-crystal introducing pipe 5 and liquid-crystal permeated body 11 are over the receiving dish 6 and the 2nd state wherein they are engaged in the liquid- crystal injection opening 16 of a glass cell 12 to be injected with liquid crystal. In the 1st state, vacuum suction causes foaming, but liquid crystal scattering at this time is supplied to the liquid- crystal permeated body 11 excessively, so drops of liquid crystal stays in the receiving disk 6, preventing the liquid-crystal injection opening 16 from being blocked. Then, the link mechanism is operated to set the 2nd state and a vacuum state is released to inject liquid crystal in the liquid- crystal permeated body 11 into the glass cell 12.
