Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by forming a through hole in a substrate for a multilayered cell type electrooptical device which has electrooptical materials on both sides, and injecting liquid crystal into the multilayered cell of, specially, a multilayered liquid crystal display device at the same time through one injection hole. CONSTITUTION:Upper, intermediate and lower transparent substrate 1, 3 and 2 have conductive films 7, 8, 9, and 10 on the sides of, e.g. liquid crystal layers 11 and 12. Then, a through hole 4 is formed at part of the intermediate substrate 3, and a liquid crystal injection hole is made in a sealing material 5 between the upper substrate 1 and intermediate substrate 3 to inject liquid crystal into and lower cells at the same time through the injection hole. After the injection, a sealing agent 13 closes the injection hole. Thus, only one injection hole is made and sealing operation is completed at only one place to facilitate the operation, improving operation efficiency.
