Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a medium to be heated with high precision, by a method wherein the level of the drain of a heating medium in a steam type heat exchanger is controlled to a target value by means of a drainage amount of the drain serving as a control amount, and the temperature of the medium to be heated is controlled by changing the target value of the level of the drain. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a medium 9 to be heated after heating is detected by a temperature detector 10, a signal therefrom is fed to a temperature regulator 11, and a control signal is fed as a cascade signal from the temperature regulator 11 to a level regulator 12 to perform control of temperature. Based on the signal, the level regulator 12 changes the target value of the level of a drain 8, a drain flow rate regulating valve 14 is regulated according to the result of comparison with a signal for the level of the drain 8 from a level detector 13 to hold the level of the drain 8 at a target value. Namely, the level of the drain 8 is changed by the change in temperature of the medium 9 to be heated after heating, and as a result, the heat transfer area for the drain 8 of a heat transfer pipe 5 is changed, and since the amount of heat being transferred is changed, the temperature of the medium to be heated is controlled.
