Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve defrost effect by increasing supply voltage when a window glass is cooled due to ambient temperature drop or vehicle speed increase and frosting is started under defrost power supply mode. CONSTITUTION:Low voltage output taken from an alternator 1 is rectified through a low voltage rectifier circuit 2 and applied through a low voltage load relay 18 onto a low voltage load 15 such as a lighting fixture. High voltage output is rectified through a high voltage rectifier circuit 3 and fed through a high voltage load relay 17 onto a window glass heater 7. Generating voltage of the alternator 1 is controlled through a voltage regulator 4 which is controlled through a controller 19 corresponding to the output voltage of the rectifier circuit 2 or 3. When detection signals of a vehicle speed sensor 20 and an ambient temperature sensor 21 reach to setting levels, power supply from the alternator 1 to the low voltage load 15 is stopped and voltage to be applied onto the window glass heater 7 is increased.
