Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify manufacture of an ink jet head and manufactured at a low cost, by a method wherein an ink jet head has insulating continuous micro holes, and has ceramics compatible with ink property being built-in. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet head 1 is a hollow insulting material 3 having a minute orifice 3a at its top and rear end thereof is connected to an ink tank part. Ceramics 4 as porous component is built-in inside. Further, electrodes 5, 6 are arranged at positions where an ink particle can be jetted from an orifice 3a at the top of the head by electric field curtain force. The electrode 5 is connected to an electrode 8, and the other side of the electrode 8 is electrically grounded 9. Further, the electrode 6 responds to an image signal of a memory 11 and is electrically grounded 10 via a switch 7 which opens and shuts to a jet control circuit 12. The ceramics 4 are porous, which are obtained by making hydrophobic process after cutting work of a hole diameter to a specific size. The electric field curtain force of AC electric field acts on the ink existing in the micro hole of the ceramics, and the ink particle flies from the orifice 3a to be adhered to plain paper.
