Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable printing of high quality to be performed by making a flying quantity of ink from a top part of a recording electrode constant, by providing a voltage control circuit which varies a value of voltage applied to one recording electrode according to a driving state of the adjacent other recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:When an optional recording electrode 21 is selected and the recording electrode is driven with a driving circuit 26, electrostatic force acting on ink 18 at a top part 21a is intensified. In concrete terms, based on a command from a printing control circuit 27, a switch signal circuit 28 selectively gives a switch 29 a signal, the switch is switched from a ground G side to a power source 24 side, a second power source 24b is operated, voltage between the recording electrode and a counter electrode 14 rises thereby, ink files, and a dot is formed on a recording paper 15. A voltage control circuit 30 regulates intensity of electromotive force of a second power source 24b. Thereby, a distribution state of electric field between the recording electrode and the counter electrode is made constant, and a flying quantity of ink from the top part 21a is fixed.
