Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform positioning of quick response and high precision by controlling the driving current of a servo motor as prescribed in a section to the vicinity of a target position and a following section to the target position. CONSTITUTION:A moving table 12 is moved by a DC servo motor 1 and a feed screw mechanism 11, and the distance from the table 12 is measured by a laser length measuring machine 14. This measured result is supplied and a mode changeover switch 18 is controlled by a controller 15 to control the high speed rotation of the motor 1 by a large driving current passing a PI control circuit 17 having a high gain characteristic in the section to the vicinity of the target position. In the following section to the target position, the switch 18 is switched and the low speed rotation of the motor 1 is controlled by a small driving current of high precision passing a PDI control circuit 18 set to a low gain and a notch filter 20 which eliminates the frequency component near the resonance frequency. Consequently, positioning of quick response and a high precision as the whole and using the servo motor is possible.
