Abstract
PURPOSE:To dispense with synchronization between frequencies and removal of spurious response due to the mutual interference of the frequencies, by using one reference clock for generating a local oscillation signal, a clock for PN code generation, a clock for count and a clock for data processing. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation frequency CK0 of a reference clock generator 22 is set to be 1/21 times larger than a local oscillation signal CK1, 70 times larger than a clock CK2 for PN code generation, equal to a clock CK3 for count and N times larger than a clock CK4 for data processing. The oscillation output CK0 of the generator 22 is multiplied by 21 by a multiplier 23 and the signal CK1 thus formed is sent to a modulator 14, and the clock CK2 formed by 1/70 multiplication by a frequency divider 24 is sent to a PN code generator 15. Said output is not multiplied and sent as the clock CK3 to a delay measuring circuit 18, while the clock CK4 formed by 1/N multiplication by a frequency divider 25 is sent to a data processing circuit 17. Even when a multi-channel GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver is constructed, all channels thereof can be met by one reference clock generator according to this constitution.
