Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure an accurate center position and to enable smooth automatic handling by controlling and moving the body to be conveyed to the center of a screen with the image signal of an ITV camera and then rotating the camera to the opposition position according to the distance to an end surface measured by two distance sensors. CONSTITUTION:A movement detecting device 11 for a coil 14 sends the image signal from the ITV camera 21 to an image processor and also sends signals from a traveling position detector 26 and an elevation position detector 29 to the control computer in a control panel 16. The coil 15 is positioned in the center of the screen of the camera 21 with the control signal from a computer. Then the two distance sensors 23 measure the distance to the end surface of the coil 14. Then a rotary driving device 12 is controlled so that the measurement result is equal, thereby setting the camera 21 opposite the end surface of the coil 14. Consequently, the center position of the coil 14 can be detected with high accuracy and the smooth automatic handling is enabled.
