Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a pump device, which can display wide pump characteristics through reciprocal running of a motor, ranging from a large flow-rate range to a high-head range, by arranging a plurality of pumps to one motor and providing a clutch mechanism to the coupling part between the motor and the pump. CONSTITUTION:A two-direction revolution motor 1 drives the first pump 2 and the second pump 3. The first pump 2 is provided with a centrifugal impeller 4. The second pump 3, which consists of a rotor 9 and a vane 10, is of a positive displacement type. The rotor 9 is coupled with the motor 1 via a one-way clutch 15. When this device is used as a pump device having the large flow-rate pump characteristic, the motor is rotated in the positive direction, thereby rotating the first pump 2 only. Next, when the device is used as a pump device having the high head pump characteristic, the motor 1 is rotated in the reverse direction. At this time, owing to the one-way clutch 15, both the first pump 2 and the second pump 3 enter a running state.
