Abstract

The shaft (14) has a semi-circular disc (101) slotted into it at an angle of 45 deg. A second identical disc is slotted into the other side of the shaft at an angle of 45 deg. to the shaft and perpendicular to the first disc. A second shaft (24) arranged at right angles to the first has an impeller (20) constructed in the same way. The two impellers are turned equally by wind impinging from any direction so that they do not have to be turned to face the wind. Each shaft is directly coupled to a multipole low speed alternator (15, 25) which has a permanent magnet armature. Each alternator is equipped with a rectifier and both of them charge a common accumulator (30).
