1537048 Synchronous motors with permanent magnet rotors UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 Sept 1976 [10 Oct 1975] 41569/75 Heading H2A A synchronous motor with an energizing coil 14 includes a stator plate 15 having two groups of consecutive poles 16 and 17 arranged in a circle, all poles in a group being of like polarality at any instant; and a rotor 20 in the form of a disc is permanently magnetized to provide a series of alternate polarity poles on the side facing the plate 15.
