Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high strength aluminum alloy material having excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance in a high temp. atmosphere by specifying the compsn. consisting of Mg, Mn, Zn, Cu, Ni, Cr, Zr, Ti, B, V and Al. CONSTITUTION:The titled aluminum alloy material contains, by weight, 2.5-4.2% Mg, 0.7-1.5% Mn and 0.2-2.0% Zn, contains one or two kinds between 0.05-0.18% Cu and 0.05-2.0% Ni, contains one or more kinds among 0.05-0.30% Cr, 0.02-0.20% Zr, 0.001-0.35% Ti, 0.0001-0.01% B and 0.01-0.25% V and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. It is the high strength Al-Mg alloy material in which stress corrosion cracks are not generated substantially even when used in the atmosphere of about 100-300 deg.C.
