Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the phase change caused by a nonlinear amplifier by compensating a phase change caused in the nonlinear amplifier by a phase variable circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from an input terminal 1 is made into a prescribed amplitude by a nonlinear amplifier 2, the output is given to a voltage controlled variable phase shifter circuit 3 to vary the output phase of the nonlinear amplifier 2 and the result is sent to an output terminal 4 as an output signal. Moreover, the phase of the input and output signals is compared by a phase comparator 5 and a DC voltage in response to the phase difference of both is sent as a comparison output. It is compared further with a prescribed reference voltage in a control circuit 6 and a difference voltage is given to the phase variable circuit 3 to control the phase shift variable of the circuit 3 in a direction where the difference voltage is decreased. Thus, the phase shift of the phase variable circuit 3 is decided in a direction where the phase of the input and output signals is coincident. Then the phase change caused in the nonlinear amplifier 2 is suppressed.
