Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to shift a phase while the amplitude of an output signal is prevented from varying in accordance with a phase shift value, by providing a phase shifting circuit, variable adding circuit and gain control amplifying circuit. CONSTITUTION:As signal E0 is applied to the input terminal, signals E1 and E2 appear at the outputs of phase shifting circuit 2. Here, E1 is in phase with the input signal and E2 is theta out of phase. Then, the maximum amplitude is obtained at angles of zero and theta and the minimum amplitude is obtained at theta/2 degrees. Next, resistances 6, 7 and 8 minimize the DC voltage at the intermediate terminal when the amplitude is maximum and maximizes it when the amplitude is minimum and LPF consisting of resistance 10 and capacitor 11 controls the amplitude of the signal input via capacitor 9 so that only the DC component of the intermediate terminal will be extracted and applied to the control terminal of amplifying circuit 12 to obtain an output.
