Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the demodulation sensitivity without damaging the linearity of the demodulated output, by making an arrangement that the output time width of the output frequency is simultaneously changed in accordance with the change in the frequency of signals modulated in the frequency. CONSTITUTION:An input signal V61 modulated in frequency is applied upon a reset terminal R of a flip-flop (FF) 52 through a voltage controlling phase shifting circuit 51, and, at the same time, directly applied upon a set terminal S of the FF 52. When the delay time of the circuit 51 is represented as ntau1, an output signal V63 of the FF 52 becomes a signal whose time width is gradually expanded as the frequency of the input signal V61 rises. Therefore, a demodulated output signal V64 obtained through a low-pass filter 2 responds to the frequency change of the input signal with a high sensitivity and becomes a signal which changes the DC level. Moreover, the output of the FF 52 is returned to the circuit 51 through a loop filter 53.
