Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a noise component by using a delay line and integrating circuit for binary-coding a video signal of a character or pattern.
CONSTITUTION: Video signals 27 to 29 read out by photoelectric convertrs, etc., are supplied to integrating circuit 22 and also delayed by delay line 21 before being supplied to integrating circuit 23. Since signals 27 and 28 are wide in pulse width, capacitors of integrating circuits are charged to the same voltage level as an input voltage and waveforms 30 and 31 are obtained. Since a noise component is narrow in pulse width, on the other hand, the voltage of capacitors will not rise up to the input voltage and will fall down to OV. Therefore, no more than a sufficiently- small voltage is generated as shown by 32. Outputs of integrating circuits 22 and 23 are changed into difference signals 33 to 35 by difference circuit 26 and, the flip- flop circuit is driven by them to obtain a binary-coded signal.
