Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled sintered material able to be formed into a thin film and having excellent strength, processability and handleability, by adding an inorganic fiber structure member to a powder mixture capable of forming an oxide superconductor and mixing, forming and baking the composition. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed amount of a raw material mixture capable of forming an oxide superconductor of e.g. formula (R is rare-earth element) is added with 0.2-10wt.% of an inorganic fiber structure member such as Si3N4 whisker and/or SiC whisker, homogeneously mixed and dispersed, formed into a thin string or a thin ribbon by extrusion molding or injection molding and baked e.g. at 850-1,000 deg.C.
