Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a lead-contg. ceramic material having a uniform compsn. and stable characteristics by adding Sb2O3 to PbO.TiO2 mixed powder, calcining the powder at a specified temp., mixing the calcined powder with BaTiO3-based calcined powder and pulverizing the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Sb2O3 is added to PbO.TiO2 mixed powder by 0.1-0.4 atomic % and the powder is calcined at 760-950 deg.C. The calcined powder is mixed with BaTiO3-based calcined powder calcined at 1000-1200 deg.C and the mixture is pulverized. The evaporation of PbO in the calcining stage is inhibited, the stoichiometric ratio is maintained and a barium titanate-based lead-contg. ceramic material useful as the material of a sintered body for a thermistor having positive characteristics is obtd.
