Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct a fuel injection amount or ignition timing for facilitating the judgement of altitude while improving controllability by searching a predetermined map and obtaining altitude on the basis of an intake air amount in the present opening of a throttle valve and the rotational frequency of an engine. CONSTITUTION:In running an engine, ECU 20 determines a fuel supply amount, ignition timing, etc. on the basis of an intake air amount detected by an air flow meter 4 and the rotational frequency of engine detected by a rotational frequency sensor 14 to control an injector 6 and ignitor 16. Then, the ECU 20 is provided with a memory for previously measuring altitude corresponding to the intake air amount in a predetermined opening of a throttle valve and a predetermined rotational frequency of engine and memorizing said altitude in the form of a map. And this map is constituted to be searched to obtain the altitude according to the intake air amount in the opening of throttle valve and the rotational frequency of engine in the actual running so that the fuel supply amount and ignition timing are corrected according to the altitude.
