Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a deviation between the characteristics of an intake air amount detecting means and an injection device to be compensated by studying the deviation of the actual air-fuel ratio from the target value distributed in a predetermined proportion respectively to a correction coefficient correlating to the intake air amount detecting means and the injection device. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 is in operation, a control circuit 3 calculates a basic fuel injection amount being based on a suction air amount, detected by an air flow sensor 2, and an engine speed. Being based on the basic fuel injection amount and the engine speed, ignition timing is controlled, while being based on the concentration of oxygen in exhaust gas by an O2 sensor 5 and the basic fuel injection amount, an ordinary fuel injection amount is controlled by a feedback in a manner wherein air-fuel ratio agrees with the target value. Here distributing the deviation of the actual air-fuel ratio from the target value respectively to a study value of the basic fuel injection amount and a study value of the ordinary fuel injection amount in a proportion in accordance with a change of the characteristics of the air flow sensor 2 and an injector 4, the ignition timing and the ordinary fuel injection amount are controlled.
