Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a variation in a battery voltage from affecting a load even when the residual capacity of a battery is checked by a flow of a large current therethrough, by a method wherein the backflow of a voltage on the lead side onto the battery side is prevented by a backflow preventing means provided on a power line. CONSTITUTION:A current from a battery 1 is supplied to a load 2 through a diode (D) 6, and a voltage of the battery 1 is accumulated in a capacitor 3 through (D) 6. Since the load 2 designed to operate with a relatively low current, the voltage of the battery 1 drops little. When a transistor (T) 42 is turned ON momentarily by a control circuit of the load 2 so as to enlarge this little drop of the voltage for detection, a large current flows from the battery 1 through a resistor 41 and T 42. Consequently, the voltage of the battery 1 drops to a battery voltage caused by the large current. Accordingly, the residual capacity of the battery 1 can be checked by detecting the state of the drop of the voltage thereof by a voltage detector 5 in the above-stated condition. By connecting (D)6, a backflow preventing means, between the battery 1 and the load 2, a false operation of the load 2 due to the effect of the lowered voltage of the battery 1 can be prevented.
