Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a computer due to power supply voltage drop, by stopping the operation of the computer, when a voltage supplied to the computer is detected as a prescribed value or lower. CONSTITUTION:A power supply 2 supplying power to a controller 1 is inputted to a power supply circuit 3 and a stabilized voltge Vcc is outputted from the circuit 3. The power supply 2 is inputted to a power supply voltage detecting circuit 4 consisting of a compartor 4a, resistors 4b-4d, a Zener diode 4e. When a voltage dividing the power supply 2 with the resistors 4b and 4c in a circuit 4 is at a comparison refernce voltage V1 determined at the diode 4e or less, an output of the comparator 4a goes to an L level and is given to an HALT terminal of a CPU5. Thus, the CPU5 stops the operation. When a voltage of the power supply 2 is restored and reaches a voltage corresponding to a voltage V1 or more, the CPU5 starts the operation again. Thus, a failure signal output externally due to malfunction of the computer caused by the decrease in the power supply voltage can be prevented in advance.
