NEW MATERIAL:The N<6>,N<6>-dimethyladenosine sugar ester derivative of formula I (R is >=4C alkyl >=2C halogenated alkyl, >=4C alkyl having 1,2-dithiolane ring at the terminal, >=4C alkenyl or alkynyl) or its isopropylidene derivative at 2,3-sites of the sugar part. USE:A carcinostatic agent. PREPARATION:2',3'-0-isopropylidene-N<6>,N<6>-dimethyladenosine of formula II is made to react with carboxylic acids or carboxylic acid halides of formula III (X is OH or halogen) and, as necessary, removing the isopropylidene group by acid hydrolysis.
