Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an economical facility, by subtracting a fixed Q detected with high accuracy from a reactive power detection signal and controlling a reactive power compensator only with variation component of abrupt variation Q, thereby reducing compensation capacity of device. CONSTITUTION:When long period variation component of reactive power having no influence on power flicker is removed, an output Q from a Q detector 20 and an average reactive power Qav obtained by averaging the output Q through a lowpass filter 27 are added in an adder 29. A setting value Qs set through a specific value 1/2 setter 32 and Qepsilon obtained from an automatic bias correction circuit Ab are added in the adder 29. A signal Qaepsilon obtained by averaging the first order lags of an output Q from the adder 29 is compared with Qs through a comparator 33 in the circuit Ab to produce Qepsilon. Output from the adder 29, i.e. an abrupt variation component of reactive power ( Q), is employed for control of a reactive power compensator.
