Abstract

PURPOSE:To release a work quickly after being transferred by providing a stripper arranged in the center of a holder provided with an air passage for holding a work by means of a suction pad, and to slide in the direction of suction, with a spring for energizing the stripper in the direction opposite to that of the suction. CONSTITUTION:To suck a work (a), a pad 1 is pressed against the work (a). Drawing air out of an air hole 6 in the direction X, inside of the pad 1 is depressurized via a flow passage 3. At the same time, air flows into the lower part of a piston 4a of a stripper 4 through an air hole 7 in the direction Y so that the stripper is pushed up with the atmospheric pressure. To release the work (a), air is supplied through the air hole 6 in the direction opposite to X to pressurize the inside of the pad 1 and also the upper part of the piston 4a to so that the stripper 4 together with the energizing force of the spring 5 pushes out the work (a). After transferring the work (a), the work (a) is released before the pressure of the inside of the pad 1 becomes atmospheric pressure by the introduction of the air. The work transfer time is thus shortened to make the operation efficient.
