Abstract

PURPOSE:To transfer tapered works safely and reliably by clamping the work transported by a conveyer to be discharged from the conveyer to a chute. CONSTITUTION:Pushing and holding means 5 is adapted to transfer a tapered work 3 which has been carried by a conveyer 1 to a chute 2. The holding means 5 comprises a movable holding portion 6 moved by a cylinder 4, a half-movable holding portion 10 and an attachment 15 for clamping the work 3. The holding means 5 includes the movable holding means 6 directly driven by the cylinder 4 and the half-movable holding portion 10 mounted on the end portion of a sliding rod 11 slidably mounted on a base through a bearing 8, wherein the holding portion 6 pushes the work 3 to be pressed against the holding portion 10 so that both holding portions move in a body. Therefore, in transferring the work 3 to a chute 2, the work 3 is correctly clamped to be handled with the work erect.
