Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an object program at a high speed in comparison with a case where a register variable is allocated to a stack memory, by using a RAM of a microcomputer to a memory area for the register variable. CONSTITUTION:A C compiler produces an object program to allocate a high- speed RAM to a register variable via a register allocating means 12 in case a hardware register is not allocated to the register variable. In other words, a high-speed internal RAM idle state deciding part 44 shifts the control to a high-speed internal RAM allocation processing part 45 when it is decided that the high-speed RAM to be allocated to the register variable has an idle area. While the processing is delivered to a stack memory allocation processing part 46 if the high-speed internal RAM has no idle area.
