Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title ultrasonic flaw detector which is operated by a remote controller and performs both normal flaw detection and accurate flaw detection by itself by varying the quantity of engagement between gears for transmitting the power of each driving part properly according to circumstances. CONSTITUTION:An operator of the detector judges which of the normal flaw detection and accurate flaw detection is performed at a stage of judgement 50 and operates the controller panel 51 of the ultrasonic flaw detecting device 5. When the normal flaw detection mode 52 is specified, the distance between respective driving part gear shafts of the ultrasonic flaw detector 5 increases, but the quantity of engagement between the gears decreases, thereby performing the fast flaw detection with low accuracy. When the accurate flaw detection mode 53 is specified, on the other hand, the distance between the gear shafts of the respective driving parts of the ultrasonic flaw detector 5 decreases and the quantity of engagement between the gears increases, thereby performing the slow flaw detection with high accuracy.
