The second detector 22, detecting rotary speed, is further provided to an output shaft 12 of the speed change gear 7. Then a range of output speed, specifically determined by a speed change operational condition detected by the first detector 21, is compared with output speed detected by the second detector 21 to detect a slip in the speed change gear 7, on the basis of this detected slip the speed change gear 7 is automatically operated speed change by a controller 30.
