Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide speed change gear, in which an AC pole change motor and synchromesh transmission are utilized for strength against torque change and smooth operation of speed change.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary motion of an AC pole change motor 1 is transmitted to a transmission 2 of synchromesh type, output shaft 8, auxiliary transmission 16 and main spindle 18 of an NC lathe. To the output shaft 8 in the transmission 2 and counter shaft, speed detecting sensors are provided respectively to detect each of the rotary speeds, and both of the shafts are synchronously controlled while comparing this detection value with a preset value. In accordance with the command in an NC control unit at the point of synchronized time, speed of the main spindle is changed by controlling clutch means CR1, CR2 in the auxiliary transmission 16, brake disc 9 provided in the output shaft 8 of the transmission 2 and a speed change lever 3.
