Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform accurate fastening through automation of a fastening motion, by a method wherein through normal detection of a fastening angle by means of a detector, a signal is inputted to a control device together with the temperature of a heater, and when a fastening angle is adjusted to a given value, fastening is completed. CONSTITUTION:Control oil from a hydraulic device 18 causes movement of a piston 12 through a conduit 15, and fastening of a nut 4 through a rack 11 and a gear 8 with a latch. By means of a stop signal from a control panel 19, the piston 12 is stopped. Though the piston is moved in a reverse direction, since the gear 8 with a latch is not motioned in linkage with the rack 11, the nut 4 is not rotated but the rack 11 is moved. The fastening angle of the nut 4 is normally detected by a detector 10, and a signal therefrom is inputted to the control panel 19. When an angle is increased to a set value, fastening before heating is completed, the detecting angle of the detector 10 is reset to zero, and the power source of a bolt heater 5 is brought into an ON-state to start heating of a stud bolt 3. Since fastening torque of the nut 4 is reduced due to the heating, fastening is performed until the torque is held at a specified value, and when a fastening angle is increased to a set value, the power sources of the bolt heater 5 and a fastening device 7 are brought into an OFF-state, and a fastening motion is completed.
