Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform a detection of position at a high resolution by a simple constitution, by combining together position detectors, which divide a moving span of an object, moving reciprocably on the same truck, into a plural number of sections, and a rotary detector which finishes one complete turn at each section. CONSTITUTION:Position detectors 6a-6d, which are monolithically united with a moving object 1, moving reciprocably along the truck, and detect a position lever 7 ranging over one section or more, are located in a position dividing the moving span of the moving object 1 into a plural number of sections. Meanwhile, a rotary position detector 2, which makes one complete turn via a rack 5 and a pinion 4 operating in synchronism with the object 1, is situated at each section group. The combination of the detection outputs of the detectors 6a-6d and the detector 3 detects the position of the moving object at a high resolution by a simple constitution wherein a change in a setting is carried out easily corresponding to a moving span. Additionally, a position detection of an object, which conducts a rotary movement on the same truck, can be made in a similar manner.
