Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A catalyst device 12 is arranged in the exhaust passages 8 in the upper course of an exhaust turbosupercharger 11. A means 70 to detect the operation state of an engine and a valve opening means 60 for opening the exhaust valve 9 of each cylinder 1 in its compression process are provided. A control means 80 is provided to control the valve opening means 60 receiving the output of the operation state detecting means 70. This can improve the responsibility of the exhaust turbosupercharger preventing the catalyst device 12 from corrosion.
