Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of occluded hydrogen in an internal electrode and to prevent deteriorations, such as dielectric loss, insulation decrease of a ceramic dielectric material by incorporating metal for inactivating hydrogen occlusion of metal in metal for forming the internal electrode. CONSTITUTION:An internal electrode 3 mainly contains palladium or silver- palladium alloy, and nickel is, for example, added to inactivate the hydrogen occlusion of the palladium. The amount of the added nickel is not limited, but it must be the amount which does not inhibit the operation as an electrode, and approx. 20wt.% is preferable. Then, the amount of the hydrogen occluded in palladium for forming the electrode 3 is suppressed to be of a low value. Thus, deteriorations, such as dielectric loss, insulation decrease of ceramic dielectric material are prevented.
