Abstract

893,365. Switch contacts. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. March 31, 1960 [Dec. 31, 1958], No. 42125/58. Class 38 (5). A contact has a generally cylindrical body 7 of a malleableconductive material such as mild steel with a flange 5 and skirt 6. After insertion in a hole in a mounting blade 1, the skirt is swaged over. Each face 8, 9 has a contact surface fixed thereto, e.g. by brazing, soldering, cold-pressing or electrodeposition. The contact surfaces may be discs or domes and made of silver, gold, platinum, palladium or an alloy of two or more of these, or an alloy of any of these metals together with iridium or ruthenium or both. Alternatively, the contact surfaces may be made of tungsten or of any contactsurfacing material made by sintering.
