Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve S/N by feeding back positively an output voltage of a photovoltaic infrared ray sensing element to a base potential of the photovoltaic infrared ray sensor via an impedance conversion means whose gain is <=1. CONSTITUTION:An optical current caused by an infrared ray received by the photovoltaic infrared ray sensing PV element 1 and an output voltage decided by the internal resistor of the element 1 are given to a gate electrode 21 corresponding to the gate of an FET 6 by an N<+> diffusion layer 11. Then the signal is fed back positively to the base 10 of the element 1 from the N<+> diffusion layer 17 while impedance conversion is applied by the FET 6. Thus, the gain of the source follower by the FET 6 is realized easily for nearly 0.9, then the output voltage is improved by nearly 10 times. Then the PV element output voltage is increased even under at a high temperature condition in a long wavelength light receiving PV element and the S/N of the signal injected to the signal processing circuit is improved.
