Abstract

PURPOSE:To cancel the influence of heat conduction from a mark which has been recorded immediately before and to always and accurately record the recording mark of an objective shape in an objective position by controlling power in the tip part of a laser beam pulse in correspondence to an interval with the preceding laser beam pulse. CONSTITUTION:Recording data (recording pulse) 1 passes through a delay circuit 3 and drives an analogue switch 4. The pulse signal 12 of a height corresponding to the interval of the recording pulse 1 is generated in both end of a resistance R2, is printed in a transistor TR1 through a differential circuit 13 and controls the size of a recording current supplied to a semiconductor laser LD. When the laser beam pulse is radiated on a recording medium in correspondence to the recording pulse 1, power in the tip part of the laser beam pulse is controlled in correspondence to the interval with the preceding laser beam pulse. Thus, the influence of heat conduction from the mark which has been recorded immediately before is cancelled and the position and shape of the recording mark can be controlled in high precision irrespective of the pattern of the recording pulse.
