Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit voltage pulsation in a DC power system, and to supply a load with excellent DC power, by absorbing and treating the pulsation part of power fed from a single-phase AC power source by means of impedance elements mounted on the AC input sides of a plurality of unit converters. CONSTITUTION:Terminals on the AC sides of unit converters A, B are connected mutually by an impedance element (an auxiliary reactor 5). When voltage e0 applied to the auxiliary reactor 5 is shown in formula I, currents I0 are shown in formula II, and power P0 consumed is shown in formula III. In formula III, the first term represents mean power and the second term pulsating power, and these power are fed from the DC side. Accordingly, when the second term in formula IV for power converted to the DC side and the second term in formu la III are equalized, all of the pulsating section of power fed to the DC side from an AC power source are absorbed into the auxiliary reactor 5.
