PURPOSE:To limit the cross current of converters with the reactor of a filter at the time of parallel operation by maintaining the voltage of the filter at the previous stage constant with the converters and maintaining the voltage of the filter at the rear stage at a voltage determined by another AC power source. CONSTITUTION:A voltage detecting line 13, a current detecting line 14, and a commercial power source voltage detecting line 10 are connected to a control circuit 12, which applies a pulse which is controlled in its pulse width so that an output voltge becomes constant to the bases of switching elements S1-S4. When there is a difference between a voltage supplied to a load 2 from a commercial power source 1 and the output voltage of a converter 4 at the time of parallel operation, the voltage of the difference is applied to the reactor L of the filter 5, and a cross current determined by the voltage value of the difference from the impedance of the reactor L flows. Since the line voltage is detected by the previous stage of the filter 5, the constant voltage of the converter 4 can be controlled substantially irrespective of the commercial power source voltage, thereby limiting the increase in the cross current.
