Abstract

PURPOSE:To charge a secondary battery efficiently by the use of a solar battery, by performing a constant-potential charge by the use of s constant-voltage circuit means and by supplying predetermined constant-voltage to a load side. CONSTITUTION:FET 5 and 7 are connected between a solar battery 1 and a converter 2. An FET 6 is connected between the converter 2 and a secondary battery 3. The FET 5 and 6 are of N-channel type and the FET 7 is of P- channel type. When the output voltage of the solar battery 1 is high, a voltage detection circuit 8 gets to high level and the FET 5 and 6 will conduct with the output of the solar battery 1 supplied to the secondary battery 3 and the load through the converter 2. When the output voltage of the solar battery 1 is low, the FET 5 and 6 are turned OFF and the FET 7 will conduct with the output of the secondary battery 3 supplied to the load through the converter 2.
