Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid unstable working of a load circuit, by causing a short circuit to the output terminal of a stabilized power supply circuit that supplies the voltage to the load when the battery voltage used for an electronic wristwatch or the like has a sudden drop of voltage. CONSTITUTION:The both ends of a battery are connected to power supply terminals 1 and 2, and the electromotive voltage of the battery is stabilized by a stabilized power supply circuit 3. The load of a wristwatch or the like is connected between an output terminal 4 and the terminal 1 to be driven by the negative voltage. A detecting circuit 5 consisting of a reference voltage source 7 and a faulty voltage drop detecting part 8 is connected between the terminals 1 and 2. A switching circuit 6 consists of a P-channel MOS transistor (TR) Q14 that causes a short circuit between the terminal 4 of the circuit 3 and the terminal 2 by the output of the circuit 5. The TRQ12 of the part 8 conducts with the TRQ13 cut off when the battery voltage is normal. At the same time, the TR14 is cut off. The TRQ12 is cut off in accordance with the output of the circuit 7 when the battery voltage lowers. At the same time, the TRQ13 and the TRQ14 conduct to cause a short circuit between the terminals 4 and 2.
