Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a cash memory from being filled out even when the memory operand of large quantity is used by restricting a block load from a main storage to the cash memory only to one level part of the cash memory. CONSTITUTION:When a data reading request is executed, a desired data reading instruction is issued to a buffer memory 1. When it is recognized that desired data are held to the buffer memory 1, the level number and the block number of an area held with the data are given to a replacing order table control part 4 and a updating is instructed so that the replacing priority of the block of this level can be the lowest during the execution of a specified instruction. When the desired data are not held to the buffer memory 1, the block number of the buffer memory 1 to load the data from a main storage 6 is given to the replacing order table control part 4 and the index of a replacing order table 2 is instructed. Then, a buffer control part is also provided to load the desired data from the main storage 6 to the block of the level number outputted from a replacing block determining part 5 after that.
