Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the analyzing accuracy of the vibrating state of a vibration sources, which are assembled in various kinds of machines, highly accurately, by detecting the vibrating waveform of a vibration generating member with a piezoelectric element, which is directly provided in the vibration generating member. CONSTITUTION:When the vibration of the cutting tool of a lathe is measured, a edge part 11, which becomes a vibration generating source in cutting of a work, is provided at the tip of a main body 10 of the cutting tool. Therefore, the vibration of the edge part 11 as the vibration generating source is propagated into the main body 10, and the main body 10 becomes a vibration generating member. A piezoelectric element containing groove 12 and the like are formed at a part as close as possible to the edge part 11 in the main body 10. A piezoelectric element 14 and a lead wire 17 are embedded and connected to a connector 18. The element 14 generates an electric signal corresponding to the vibration, which is applied on the element 14. The vibrating waveform of the main body 10 in the appropriate cutting state under the specified conditions is stored in a memory part 21 beforehand. The waveform is compared with the waveform from the element 14 and operated in an operation control part 20. When the waveform is different, a driving part 22 is stopped, and a signal is sent to an alarm generator 23.
