Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily produce a soft magnetic alloy having high saturation magnetization and high magnetic permeability by forming the melt of an Fe-Sn based alloy having a specific compsn. to a thin sheet by an ingot making-rolling method or rapid solidifying method, rolling this sheet at a specific draft and subjecting the sheet to specific annealing. CONSTITUTION:The melt of the Fe-Sn base alloy consisting of the component compsn. expressed by the chemical formula Fe100-xSnx or Fe100-x-ySnxMy, Fe100-x-y-zSnxMyQz (where M; 1 or 2 kinds of Al and Sn, Q; at least one kind among Mn, Cr, Mo, W, Ti, V, Zr, Nb, Ta, B, and Hf, x; 0.5-3.5wt.%, y; 1.0-6.0%, z; 0.1-5.0%) is made into the thin sheet by the ingot making-rolling method or rapid solidifying method. This sheet is thereafter subjected to the final finish rolling at 40-80% draft. The rolled sheet is then subjected to the annealing in a 800-1,200 deg.C range. The soft magnetic alloy having about >=4,000 max. magnetic permeability is thereby obtd. without decreasing the saturation magnetic flux density.
