Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the working ratio of a stacker crane by calculating a desired working time from a speed pattern of a conveying facility so as to determine an operation path whose required time is shortest. CONSTITUTION:After delivery from a rack A to a rack B is carried out, when the work of delivery from racks B, C is carried out, the times of movement of cargo from vehicles to a stacker crane, a travel time t2 of the stacker crane to a destined rack, an elevation time t3 of the stacker crane to the level of the destined rack and the time t4 of the movement of cargo from the stacker crane to the rack are calculated for the travel pattern (1 through 4) as shown by the expressions from a traveling speed pattern and an elevating speed pattern, and are then compared with each other. As a result, a path by which the cargo can be moved in a shortest time, such as, for example, the path 4 is selected. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the working ratio of the stacker crane.
