Abstract

A palletising machine has a sloping belt conveyor (25) which conveys parcels etc. from a supply roller conveyor up to a short roller conveyor or section (11)from which a row of parcels is pushed sideways onto a reciprocating stacking table (13) by a pushing member (27). A pallet is mounted on a lifting platform (6) underneath, and the stacking table is reciprocated to deposit the parcels onto the pallet. The pallet is lowered, and another row is pushed onto the stacking table in the same sequence of movements, until the pallet has been fully loaded and removed. A serving system controls the operating of the pusher (27) which is moved by an actuator cylinder (33) and the height of the lifting platform which is mounted on a cylinder operated scissor linkage.
