Abstract

1486659 Discharging trays from a tiered trolley to a belt conveyer G V LINDBERG 21 Aug 1975 34834/75 Heading B8A A belt conveyer 9 is extendable so as to extract a tray 3 from its position on rails 2 of a trolley 1, so as to position the tray on a platform of a lift 4. The latter carries the tray up to a position 5 from which it is fed to a discharge conveyer by a reciprocating member 8. By progressively raising the conveyer 9, a whole tier of trays can be successively conveyed away from the trolley 1. The conveyer 9 can extend to either a forward position or a rearward position in the trolley 1. In this way two tiers of trays may be discharged in each position of the trolley. By moving the trolley a distance approximately equal to the length of a tray, other pairs of tiers (two pairs in all in the embodiment shown) may be discharged.
