Abstract

PURPOSE:To emit an aroma by heat energy during recording to make the printing condition sensible to the outside, by incorporating microcapsules using the aroma as a core substance in a thermal recording body. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording body provided with a recording layer containing a color former and a color developer developing a color by coming into contact with the color former on a substrate, microcapsules containing an aroma are incorporated in at least one of layers forming the recording body. The microcapsule can be accordingly selected for use from among generally-known microcapsules, but particularly a microcapsule using a wall film of polyurethane or polyurea is more preferably used because it easily emits the aroma contained therein by a heat in recording. The average particle diameter of the microcapsules is generally 10mum or less, preferably 5mum or less, and more disirably 3mum or less. As the aroma, various sorts of well-known aromas are applicable, and for an easy encapsulation the aroma can be mixed with another hydrophobic medium to be used as a core substance.
